Interim Group Financial Controller & Transformation Lead

An Interim Group Financial Controller and Transformation Lead is now required to join a progressive and sought after business during a period of change.

The Interim Group Financial Controller and Transformation Lead will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity of the financial reporting, alongside driving forward a number of key and critical transformation projects during a significant period of change.

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Leading on the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Group, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Overseeing the financial reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviewing and analysing financial data, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to Senior Management.
  • Embedding robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls are maintained to ensure consistent financial management
  • Effectively business partnering and working closely with the Leadership Team
  • Driving the design and execution of finance transformation projects, including automation of financial processes, ERP enhancements, and the standardisation of finance operations
  • Collaborating with IT, operations, and other key stakeholders to select and implement advanced financial systems that enable better decision-making and reporting efficiency.
  • Identifying areas for continuous improvement and cost reduction through innovative finance practices and the integration of technology

Key requirements of the role

  • A qualified finance professional (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a proven track record operating in large complex businesses, preferably FMCG
  • Strong leadership, influencing and communication skills
  • A proven track record leading teams through periods or transformation and change
