Interim CFO / Software / West Midlands / 6 Months / £1000 per day outside IR35
I have an immediate requirement for an interim CFO to join a growing software company poised for significant expansion as they prepare for potential investment. They are seeking a dynamic Interim CFO to join the team to professionalise the business operations and support their growth trajectory.
Role Overview:
You will serve as the primary liaison for banks and potential investors, responsible for creating a comprehensive data room and addressing inquiries while ensuring compliance with relevant reporting requirements.
As the Interim CFO, you will play a crucial role in leading a system overhaul, optimising roles and structures within the finance team, developing robust processes, and implementing stringent financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for banks and potential investors, providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Create and maintain a data room to support due diligence processes.
- Respond to inquiries from investors and provide detailed information as required.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct a comprehensive review of existing financial systems and processes.
- Implement necessary changes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
- Evaluate roles and structures within the finance team and make recommendations for optimisation.
- Develop and implement rigorous financial controls to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CFO within the software industry.
- An accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc…)
- Experience in managing investor relations and fund-raising activities.
- Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated track record of implementing financial controls and process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
