The role of Indirect Procurement Manager will play a key role at one of their main Warwickshire sites, interacting with major stakeholders from across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include :
- Developing appropriate strategies for procurement of key items required for the safe and effective running of the site. These must be in line with the wider business procurement strategy and will be delivered to provide best value and quality
- Monitoring & ensuring that all service levels are achieved, with issues escalated in a timely manner.
- Taking ownership for the development, implementation & contract management of all procurement activities relating to the site. Responsible for maintaining the strategies and ensuring that the best value for money is obtained, while adhering to the highest level of quality and supplier performance
- Ensuring that such strategies consider the requirements of all key stakeholders, e.g., Facilities, Operations, Projects & Safety and deliver a supplier product and services that align with the agreed site budget
- Be the Procurement subject matter experts on all site procurement activities , both product and services.
- Identifying opportunities for new services using innovative products and offerings
- Sourcing effective suppliers for outsourced services for the site, ensuring that best value is obtained without compromising standards
- Seeking local and small to medium enterprises to form part of the supply chain wherever possible.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of taking full accountability for end-to-end procurement processes, with a track record in achieving quality results
- Extensive procurement experience as a Category Manager, Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager
- Legal or commercial experience would be advantageous
- An ambitious and driven individual, with a track record in procurement. Experience of Oracle systems would be desirable
- An individual who is a self-starter and is effective working either alone or as part of a site management team to complete tasks to the highest level
- Able to take a pragmatic approach to challenges and actively solve problems before they become issues.
